Organizational Structure Assessment
Based on the three key elements of Reporting, Grouping, and Communicating (Pinto, 2015, pp. 47-48) organization structures are categorized as Functional, Project, or Mixed (Pinto, 2015, p. 48). In a three- to four-page paper, assess the organization of your workplace or an organization that you are familiar with. In your writing:
- Categorize the structure of your designated organization in context of the three key elements of Reporting, Grouping, and Communicating using specific examples to support your deduction.
- Explain the effectiveness of the organizational structure in support and attainment of the organization’s vision and mission purpose. Use specific examples to support your argument.
- Recommend specific organizational structure changes, based on the reading readings and other research, for improved organizational or project outcomes. Support the rationale for your recommendation with recognized best practices and methods.
Submit a three- to four-page paper, not including the title and reference pages. Include an introduction and conclusion in your paper. Your paper must conform to CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements. Use and cite at least two outside references (not including your textbook) to support your thinking.
