support (scaffolding; useful phrases); have the typical teenagers
problems; don’t like to talk in front of the class (they need
cooperative learning‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍)

hi, i just wanted to add, that authentic material is important. This means that the students will have to answer to a message that is real.

It could be taken from the website kidzworld.com, Dear dish-it section. Here teenagers ask for advice. The topic is friendship troubles. The vocabulary the students need to know is vocabulary to express empathy e.g: I understand you, I’m sorry etc.; and vocabulary to actually give advice: You could…, if I were you I would….
Also, after they have written the message (during the lesson) they should think about the question: what are good friends like? or what is true friendship. If you need further information, please contact me. It is the last lesson plan I have to hand in before I become a teacher, so It is very important.
Thanks
