Is it Better to Have a Bad Performance Appraisal System or None at All? (20 points)
Take a position on the following:
A lousy performance appraisal system or process is better than not giving employees any type of performance appraisal. Support your position with evidence or examples.
OK, after having seen the video insight, I have to say that I have had both really good performance reviews as well as some really crummy ones. After changing positions in the same company I have even had my new supervisor ask me WHAT was the previous manager thinking as none of what was written made any sense. In that case, if you know you are doing everything right, but the manager gives a bad review, you just have to keep in mind that they are the one with the problem. Maybe they either hate their job or just don’t like you as a person, which should not play a part in their review as it should be objective.
