Healthcare Administrators are problem solvers. They figure out what is needed and then resolve the situation. One of the greatest traps an administrator can fall into is to assume that he or she already knows the situation and then skip ahead to planning and implementing a solution without a good grasp of the foundational problem. In the end, the solution might do some good but it does not actually meet the original need.

When we face the problem of sin, we must understand the foundational problem; otherwise, our own solutions will take us down the wrong path. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23. Without understanding the root cause, we might think that good works will make us right with God and remove the problem of sin. However, God already designed the solution: “But God put his love on the line for us by offering His Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to Him” Romans 5:8. God also tells us how it is implemented. With your whole being you embrace God, setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between Him and me!” Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.” “ If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe it in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.’ For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:9-13
